Installing the HeapAgent working model

To install the HeapAgent working model: 
 
1.  Choose Run from the Windows Program Manager window, and run setup.exe. 
 
2.  Follow the screen instructions.

    Note:  Even though the setup program lets you change both the drive and  
    the directory where the working model files are installed, you should NOT  
    change the directory.  The working model relies on the length of the  
    operating system path for some of the errors that HeapAgent helps you  
    find.  If you change the directory, parts of this demo may not work as  
    described.

Running the working model

To run the HeapAgent working model: 
 
1.  Start the HeapAgent Demo online help.   
 
2.  Follow the instructions on setting up your compiler to work with  
    HeapAgent.
 
3.  Follow the instructions under "Finding memory bugs."  Each of these  
    procedures shows how HeapAgent helps you diagnose a different type  
    of memory bug.
